I've always enjoyed the thrill of new experiences, so much so that after completing university I thought I'd like to work in the travel industry.
I even went so far as to interview with the owner of a travel agency and while she impressed me it was her husband, the manager of a national living benefits insurance office, that really made an impression.
17 years later, I travel for pleasure not for business, but my career path in the insurance industry certainly has afforded me the opportunity to meet and assist a wide range of people from a broad scope of industries. I’ve also met some pretty interesting folks within this field. Little did I know, when I met Darrell and Sheryl more than a dozen years ago, that I would be working with them one day. What started out as a successful supplier-consultant relationship turned into an appreciation for these two interesting personalities and the friendship that comes from working closely together has now grown into a unique opportunity to be a part of the team.
My passion and enthusiasm for my field coupled with my creative outlook have earned me the respect of my peers and a wide range of loyal and satisfied clients. And who knows, maybe I’ll be having coffee soon with a representative of the next generation of insurance specialists and I’ll be convincing him or her that they need not fly far away to find an interesting and rewarding career!
