Corporate and Environmental Social Responsibility (CESR) is our commitment to operating in an economically and environmentally sustainable manner while recognizing the interests of our communities, customers, and employees. We're always up to something!

Our CESR program involves four main areas: Employees, Community, Environment and Customers.
Check out some of the great things we have done below to support our CESR mission.

Stroll for Liver is a fun, family oriented walk hosted by the Canadian Liver Foundation.  It caters to all fitness levels and gives people a chance to join others in their community to fight against liver disesase.  One in 10 Canadians will be affected by a liver or biliary tract disease in their lifetime.

On our team, liver disease has affected Sheryl's family, tragically losing a child 18 years ago. 2009 marks the 5th straight year that Sheryl and her surviving daughter Cassie have walked to raise funds and awareness. To support them in this quest visit their fundraising page at http://my.e2rm.com/personalPage.aspx?registrationID=632148&LangPref=en-CA

Our ever-busy Moniera is at it again...this time taking on a HUGE challenge and participating in the Ride to Conquer Cancer from Vancouver to Seattle!

Think of it as a history-making opportunity for riders to do something big about cancer, something epic. Like cycling for two days from Vancouver to Seattle on June 20 and 21, 2009. Sure, it sounds like a lot… and it’s meant to be.

If you'd like to help support Moniera's epic efforts, and benefit the Canadian Cancer Society too please visit Moniera's page at http://www.conquercancer.ca/goto/moniera

Have you received an ES report lately and thought we were running out of ink? Not so. Look closely and you'll see tiny holes in the font; tiny holes that save ink and help to save the environment.

Ecofont Free - the typeface with holes - has grown up. There is now clever software for the office environment which makes use of ink-saving letters. Ecofont Professional. You work in your corporate typeface and print in the ink saving eco version. See ecofont.eu for more information and a full list of benefits.

Go ahead. Help save the planet.

What do Executive Strategies employees do when they're not busy at the office, you may ask? Well one of us, Moniera Khan, is busy knitting her little fingers to the bone!

Millions of babies and children around the world live in poverty and are cold; knitting for charity is a wonderful way to help make a baby blanket to keep these children warm. Moniera is one of the knitters and crocheters of the world, each knitting squares and sending them to the Soweto Comfort Club. The women of Soweto will use their wonderful abilities as crafts- women to sew the squares together either for a child or baby blanket. Visit the Knit A Square site to learn more...and get busy knitting!

When last we updated this page for Kim Steiner she was being a super hero, launching herself off a downtown office building to raise funds for Easter Seals. And now Kim has taken on an even bigger challenge ~ she's had a baby!

Please join all of us in congratulating Kim and her husband Doug on the birth of their lovely daughter Ava Simone Steiner. Ava was born at 11:28pm on Thursday, February 26th. Weighing in at 8lbs, 2oz (3.64kgs) and 20ins (51cms) long, Ava is doing a good job of limiting mom's sleep from what we understand.

Congrats to the whole Steiner family! Don't worry Kim, Budi will take good care of your clients while your gone.

Beauty Night Society is a non-profit, volunteer-based organization that provides makeovers and other wellness programs to marginalized adults and youth. Our programs provide tools for clients to increase their self esteem and find the inner strength to make positive change in their lives.

At Executive Strategies we're pitching in by giving manicures on Monday nights! That's right, Sheryl, Michelle, Fernanda, Leah and Moniera have all volunteered to help Beauty Night founder Caroline MacGillivary make Monday nights a success and bring dignity to the downtown east side. We've given relaxing shoulder massages, hand massages & manicures. We've handed out cookies and made dozens of cups of tea!

If you'd like to join us, donate, or volunteer in any other capacity for Beauty Night, please click here or find Caroline on Facebook. Of course, you can always call one of us too ~ we'd love to tell you more about Beauty Night.
